On my way home, I was craving for some inari sushi. So, I stopped by Oto's Japan Food Market and purchased some wraps (I really don't know what they're called, but I knew what they looked like). I was going to make this into a full blown meal complete with the ginger and wasabi.
As I was heading off to the checkout queue, a little old lady asked me what I was going to do with those things (she's not Japanese) and I told her that I was making inari sushi. She gave me a confused look and I explained to her what inari sushi was. She was like, "Oh, you mean those brown things that have rice in them. I get them at the Bel-Air Supermarket."
When I finally got home and started making the sushi (takes about 45 minutes including prep-time), I was pretty happy with the end result.
But not only did I buy those inari wraps, I also ended up with these....
Sugary goodness from Japan..
Might give me diabetes....
But it's all worth it....
